About the Author

Fighting the Pandemic

Politics of Abuse

A girl of low prestige,

carrying a pearl so sweet,

asks a question in an atmosphere so bleak

Does the politics of abuse

deliver any good news?

Her pearl is her PAKISTAN,

where politicians are at daggers drawn.

Penury and Prosperity

In my corridor,

the notice board flashed

with the horror

that Sovereign moans:

Debilitate the poor till his last,

Make him die fast;

Ravage his bag and baggage, Aghast!

Jobbery, money laundering, and above of all,

Bribery,

altogether,

Made the rich

Flourish everlast.

Blindness

‘Rebirth, rejuvenation –

The rise of the dead!’

Cheered the world,

That was tone deaf

To the phoenix’s last cry,

Before it turned to ashes

On a pyre.

Two Sides

A cheater– A complicit,

Two sides of a same coin!

Where’s the lie?

Parasitic Life

To see the dawn,

Never freed from debris of Dunya,

No open eye to enjoy

The divine expression.

True that,

Corona-

Parasitic life needed a break.

Speaking to the Woods

Green

Arslan stood straight

And desired to know,

The color green.

He examined

Curiously

The leaves serene.

Loaded equally with texture bright

They provided the perfect delight.

Happy Ending

Cherished, loved, nurtured,

The things

That matters the most,

Now look, behold;

There, a Happy ending!

A Silent Cry or Transient Flare?

A silent cry or transient flare?

A nice gentle touch of pastel orange sky

A bright evening glare more curing to my eye

A slow and steady move of the birds so high

Presents the soothing effect and good bye

Daylight is about to end with a silent cry.

Melancholy

Rainy night

wipes my melancholy out

with fresh air and a cool breeze.

Enjoying the Loyal Touch

As a child, I followed

The wind

While the wind followed the clouds

Making joyful sounds.

Now,

At this age, I still feel myself bonding with nature.

It is still the same,

The clouds and the wind.

Together they arrive,

With the same

Loyal touch on my skin.

Can I scream with joy once again?

Can I live as a follower of clouds again?

Can I bear the soft touch again?

When

This human world has left me empty,

With

Wrinkles and dark circles.

Virtue

Too much goodness

Consumed me,

And left me

Afloat

with
