Daastan exists because talent has never been the scarce thing in Pakistan — access has. A writer with a finished manuscript and no contacts had nowhere obvious to take it, and we set out to be that place.
We handle a book end to end: editing, cover and interior design, an ISBN from our own registered block, printing, and distribution to bookshops and online. Royalties are paid on every copy sold and tracked on a dashboard the author can open any day of the week.
A book does not end at the printer, so neither do we. Launches, literary evenings and festival appearances put our writers in front of readers, and a title stays on sale long after its publication day.

What a wonderful story. Truly inspiring. Unfortunately, we have become a part of this rat race where we kind of hide our identities and try to cover up our selves with an artificial coating of language and culture.
A very eye opening story. Cruel reality of this society. More people need to read this and make their children aware of the mindset of most people. Beautifully written and well portrayed
