Daastan exists because talent has never been the scarce thing in Pakistan — access has. A writer with a finished manuscript and no contacts had nowhere obvious to take it, and we set out to be that place.
We handle a book end to end: editing, cover and interior design, an ISBN from our own registered block, printing, and distribution to bookshops and online. Royalties are paid on every copy sold and tracked on a dashboard the author can open any day of the week.
A book does not end at the printer, so neither do we. Launches, literary evenings and festival appearances put our writers in front of readers, and a title stays on sale long after its publication day.

about books from this publisherThis volume is frustratingly abstract. It outlines numerous ethical dilemmas but provides no concrete methodologies for engineers working on the ground. The detailed analysis often feels self-congratulatory, lacking the necessary critical examination of implementation failures.
A very well written and balanced expression taking all us back to the 1947 partition.All i would say it that the level of religious tolerance highlighted by the characters of the story is something that we again need to revive in order to instill peace and humanity. Kudos to the writter
This impressive, unashamedly classic story about trials and tribulations faced by a girl having grand ambitions from first time writer Mehrunissa shows how exhibiting balance and restraint can give us a great story to tell. A must read for the youth!
