Daastan exists because talent has never been the scarce thing in Pakistan — access has. A writer with a finished manuscript and no contacts had nowhere obvious to take it, and we set out to be that place.
We handle a book end to end: editing, cover and interior design, an ISBN from our own registered block, printing, and distribution to bookshops and online. Royalties are paid on every copy sold and tracked on a dashboard the author can open any day of the week.
A book does not end at the printer, so neither do we. Launches, literary evenings and festival appearances put our writers in front of readers, and a title stays on sale long after its publication day.
Earlier Pakistani writers could only dream of getting published. Now it is easier with the more than supportive team of Daastan which is now more of a family to me. Amazing experience publishing my first book with Daastan.See the original post

I'll meet you there is a poetic book that leaves its readers stunned, to say the least. It was published fairly recently and beautifies the world around us. The book's theme caters to multiple topics and since it is set in modern times and written as poetry, it leaves a lot to be imagined by the readers. The readers are creatively transported into an entirely different world that is beyond the human imagination.
Aysha Khalid is a Turkish poet, she does not believe in the boundaries of language to express herself or her imagination. That’s the reason, she has chosen a Pakistani publishing company ‘Daastan’ to publish her collection of poems.
I did not expect to come across a poetry book written by Eesha but I am ecstatic because I have been following her work for quite some time. We crossed paths a few years back and she is someone I have always looked up to and her words have always brought solace to me. This is very exciting I am in awe
Considering today's social environment, this novel is a rich thoughtful content for the youth. It is the best effort of the author considering the reformation of the youth. I would strongly recommend this book to the discerning book lovers.
Not only the subject was a challenging one and the writer pull it off with great excellence and strong ability to narrate but also the placements, detailing and descriptions of scenes did justice to the story.
